Dublin Viking Tour
Explore Dublin in the most exciting way possible: on board an amphibious vehicle! On this fun tour by land and sea, you will discover the main monuments and history of the city.
Itinerary
In the centre of Dublin we climb on board an amphibious vehicle from the Second World War, which will take us around the most interesting points of the Irish capital. The guides; actors dressed up as Vikings, will tell stories and anecdotes about Dublin, letting you in on all the secrets of the city.
The tour takes the street where the Dublin Town hall can be found, to see the Bank of Ireland, which occupies a magnificent building initially constructed to house the Irish Parliament. We will observe too, Dublin Castle, before checking out the cathedrals of the city.
Christ Church Cathedral is found in the area which was populated by Vikings in the middle ages, and is one of the oldest buildings in all Dublin. Before continuing our tour we will also admire St. Patrick's Cathedral, the highest church on the island, and dedicated to the patron saint of Ireland.
Leaving the cathedrals behind the tour crosses the river to admire the Four Courts building, constructed at the end of the 18th century, and home of the supreme court in Ireland. The visit then continues towards the east, where you will see the impressive spire sculpture before crossing the river once again, arriving at Trinity College. Having seen Ireland's oldest university, the tour passes through the central Georgian district, constructed in Dublin's golden age; the 18th and 19th centuries.
Then comes the fun part: our bus hits the water! We will navigate through the Grand Canal, on board this incredible restored amphibious vehicle, enjoying the views of the neighbourhood which has become the centre of all the newest trends in Dublin.
The tour then returns to its starting point, where it ends.
