Visit the Irish Whiskey Museum and discover the history of one of the Emerald Isle's most traditional alcoholic beverages. You'll also enjoy several tastings of the famous golden nectar!

What is the Irish Whiskey Museum?

According to the Dublin-born novelist and playwright George Bernard Shaw, “whiskey is liquid sunshine”. Learn the secrets of this iconic liqueur in the heart of the Irish capital: just next to Trinity College, you'll find the Irish Whiskey Museum.

Make the most of exploring the museum's different exhibitions thanks to your guide, an Irish whiskey expert who will entertain you with fascinating details on the history of the drink. You'll learn all about the whiskey-making process and its maturation in oak casks, as well as the evolution of distilleries in Ireland over the centuries.

Ticket types

When you make your reservation, you'll be given the choice between two different ticket types, which include the following benefits:

Classic ticket

  • Guided 45-minute tour of the different museum rooms with an Irish whiskey expert (English-speaking guide; audio guides available in other languages).
  • 15-minute tasting in which you can sample 3 Irish whiskeys.

Premium ticket

  • All the benefits included in the classic ticket.
  • Tasting of an aged Irish whiskey.
  • Gift of a whiskey glass.
  • Don't like whiskey? Choose to enjoy an alternative cocktail during the tasting session instead! Just ask at the museum reception if you'd like this option.

How does the ticket work?

You can visit the Irish Whiskey Museum in Dublin on whichever day you prefer. Guided tours of the museum, which is open every day between 10:30 am and 5:30 pm, take place every 30 minutes.
